TODAY’S PROGRESS REPORT

We continue to make excellent progress toward our goal of getting the triple lift running by Jan. 31. So far, it looks like we will make that goal. Thank you for your patience.

Here is what is happening now:

Magnetic Particle Inspection (a way of finding fractures in critical components) of all 161 chairs was finished Thursday.

Yesterday and today were about a lot of small but important details, everything from hooking up the auxiliary motor fuel tank, getting warning labels and signs for the motor room, to arranging lodging for some of the inspectors who will be here Monday for the Load Test and Certification. Also:

• the unload ramp was finished and the top operator house had controls installed and wired

Introducing the NEW TRIPLE CHAIR!!!

Here it is!! Hung, strung and almost ready for passengers. Load testing happens early next week. We are making snow fast (and furiously!) and there is snow in the forecast, too! This beautifully renovated chair is scheduled to be operational on Saturday, January 31st. Clipper and Mussel Ridge trails will be open from the top. Depending on weather other trails will also be open. YAY!

Snow Bowl Update 1/23/2015

WE ARE SORRY
We at the Snow Bowl are very sorry that the redevelopment efforts at Ragged Mountain have delayed a large-scale opening of the ski season. We understand community residents are frustrated, and we apologize for that.

WE ARE GOING TO OPEN
