PROGRAMS

U-7 (age 6) 

Age is determined as of Dec 31st

Mid-Winter Program: Jan 3 – March 7 (8 weeks) Wed 4-6pm, Saturday 8:30-11am $360

U-8 & U-10 (ages 7-9)                           

Age is determined as of Dec 31st
This is an entry level program aimed at learning the fundamentals to be able to tear it up all over the mountain. It’s about having lots of fun, making new friends, improving skills, exploring the entire mountain, and learning the basics of racing.  Skiers are grouped according to skiing ability throughout the first couple weeks of the season and then ski with a dedicated coach for consistent and reliable coaching. U-12 (ages 10 &11)

Age is determined as of Dec 31st

Following the progression developed by the USSA Coaches, this program takes them to the next level!  Athletes in this program learn the skills needed to make “carved” turns all over the mountain. U-14 (ages 12 -13)

This athlete can ski everything with confidence and style: the steeps, the trees, the terrain park, ice, powder and gates. This program is for athletes who have solid skills and want to take them to the next level. While fun is still what it’s all about, in Team Devo you will learn more advanced skills and racing tactics. U-16+(ages 14 and Older)

This program is for athletes who love to ski race, and  focus their energy on racing and improving their skills. Racing techniques, tactics and competition are the main focus, but there will also be time for all mountain skiing and general skill improvement. Athletes are expected to participate in local races at the Middle School and High School levels, as well as USSA. Greater attention will be placed on type of skis and boots used.

Camden Snow Bowl Middle School Race Team

For 6, 7 and 8th graders only. The team is coached by CSB staff (Weber Roberts is the head coach) and will travel by van to several races. The schedule will be posted as soon as it is available. The Middle School Team is managed by the Snow Bowl and not affiliated with a specific middle school. The team competes in the Maine Junior Ski League, which includes school, club, and ski area teams. Need to sign up for a Mid-Winter Program in your age group.

Weekend Program:  Competive Program

Want more technical training and expert coaching?  This is a program designed for the athlete wanting to challenge themselves and to gain more technical skills in ski racing.  It is for ages U16-U18 with some elite U14.  This group will be going to some USSA races that are non sanctioned.  
The weekend program will concentrate on building the fundamental skills at a higher level while progressively developing the athletes over-all understanding of race strategies and tactics required to be successful. We will provide a competitive training and racing environment that encourages ski racers to push their comfort zones and strive for higher levels of performance.  This excelled racing group will be participating in 3-4 MARA races that are non-sanctioned USSA races.  CLICK HERE FOR A REGISTRATION FORM

S.T.O.R.M (ages 10-14)  Race and Ski School Program -

Non-Competitive Ski or Snowboard

Mid-Winter Program: Jan 4 – March 8 Fri 4-6pm, Sunday 12:30-3pm $ 360
 

Snowboard Racing:

Come learn how to race.  We are offering this race program to the intermediate and expert snowboarder looking to improve their skills and challenge themselves in a positive way.  We have an experienced racing coach who will be teaching technical skills, coaching racing and setting excellent training courses.

MASTERS – Post High School (no upper age limit)

Have you joined a Friday Night Racing Team and really want to go for it this season? Sign up for Team Commitment to work with experienced coaches and join other competitive adults who share a passion for racing.

Other OPEN-TO-THE-PUBLIC Racing:

Friday Night Team Racing – All Ages

This is a program for teams of four or five people that compete weekly in January and February. Categories include: families, adults, youth, snowboard, and mixed equipment (alpine, telemark and snowboard). All teams must be co-ed. Up to four people may comprise a team but onlythree are allowed to score for the team each Friday. Prizes and a perpetual trophy are awarded at the end of the season. A registration form is required with signatures from all adults and parents of youth racers. Helmets are required.
Friday Nights: 4:30PM for kids and 5:30 – 7:00 PM, Jan. 9 – March 6 (no racing Feb. 6 & 20)    Team Cost: $150

Coached Dual Time Trials - Open to the public

A series of of coached time trials with preregistration required, course inspections and designated start times. For those committed to the entire series there will be trophies and/or prizes awarded.
Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25                           12:30-2:30 race start                         
Included if enrolled in Mid-winter programs                        Cost: $15 per race
